Hon. Pauline Truong Hosts Reception at UCLA with Over 100 Global Professionals

Hon. Pauline Truong recently hosted a reception at UCLA Law School with over 100 top lawyers and entrepreneurs from around the globe.

Distinguished speakers included a senior Partner from top international law firm, Paul Hastings and ex-Partner at the powerhouse law firm of Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard, Avchen & Shapiro, LLP. They engaged the ambitious audience with their inspirational success stories and words of wisdom on thought-provoking issues in global law, entrepreneurship and networking. The global audience also enjoyed an interactive session, where their questions were answered by the experts.

It was a great opportunity for a talented group of people to share their knowledge and experiences. The evening was productive and fun as the crowd networked over fine hors d'oeuvres from around the world. With an international legal practice and entrepreneurship background, Hon. Pauline Truong (www.paulinetruong.com) was the first Vietnamese person to be awarded the Justice Lionel Murphy International Postgraduate Award to study at UCLA Law School.  Pauline Truong's family first migrated from China to Vietnam, and then a generation later risked their lives to leave Vietnam in a boat after the war. After some time at the refugee camps in Malaysia, they were blessed to receive refugee status in Australia and expanded internationally thereafter. At each transition, they successfully rebuilt their lives and businesses. Whilst it was challenging initially, this later became an asset for the globalization of Pauline's work.

Hon. Truong was recently awarded an Honorable Order for her global innovation and service - an honor commissioned to distinguished leaders such as President Bill Clinton, President Ronald Reagan, President George Bush, Prime Minister Winston Churchill, George Clooney, Elvis Presley, Muhammad Ali and Betty White. She is also featured in a new book on Career Makeover & How to Reinvent Your Success Abroad, and on mainstream media around the globe.
