Diwali Quotes from &TV artists

Ratan Rajput aka Santoshi from &TV’s SantoshiMaa

Diwali is the festival of lights, celebrations, and gifts, get together and definitely good food. It is one of my favorite times in the year. I am a devote of goddess Laxmi and maybe that’s the reason I took up SantoshiMaa. I am very fond of decorations and especially lights so I embellish my whole house with diyas, colorful lights, rangoli and flowers during Diwali. I love the whole atmosphere around us. As per rituals, I make sure that I always celebrate Diwali at my house and perform goddess Laxmi Puja with whole heart.Diya’s lit around our colony, the lighting and the happiness of being together with my friends and family is why it makes Diwali all the more special to me.

MahimaMakhwana aka Manaswani in AdhuriHamariKahani

There is no other festival that is as fun and exciting as Diwali! I go completely crazy days before the real five days of the festival — shopping for clothes and jewellery for myself and also to gift my family. I just wait to receive all the different kinds of sweets from relatives and friends and to give them in return. Diwali always brings so much happiness and cheer in anyone’s life. I make the most of whatever time I get to celebrate the festival. Diwali is such an auspicious time and this will be my first Diwali on the sets of my show AdhuriHumariKahaniso I hope the auspicious festival will make everything blessed.

Karan Kundra aka Rahul Saberwal in &TV’s YehKahanAagaye Hum

I just love how the whole of India lights up during Diwali. Everywhere you go it's bright and beautiful and people meet each other with so much love and warmth. Especially now that people are becoming more environmentally conscious and not bursting too many crackers it makes festivities even better.  Just like my character Rahul Sabharwal in YehKahanAa Gaye Hum I'm a very family-oriented person in real life and I like sharing special moments with my loved ones. So I will be celebrating this special festival with my family and close friends like every year.

ShwetaTiwari aka Bindiya in &TV’s Begusarai

Lights, sweets, people wearing beautiful clothes and the beautiful rangolis and kandeels. There are way too many things that make Diwali such a delightful festival. We have big celebrations in the family and my friends also come together to celebrate. It's one big party every year. One of my most eagerly awaited festival for sure. All these months I have been playing a firecracker of a role as Bindiya in Begusarai and now it's time to burst some firecrackers in real.

SaumyaTandon aka Anita in &TV’s BhabhiJiGhar Par Hai

I think Diwali is one of the most beautiful festivals. Each and every place is so well lit that it looks heavenly. I love the lights but I am not a fan of the noise or the smoke. I feel we should be responsible citizens and every festival should be taken as an opportunity to do something good for this world. This Diwali I have took two days off from my show BhabhiJiGhar Par Hain and planning to get away from noise pollution and air pollution to a quiet relaxing and lazy Diwali most probably in Goa

AroonaIrani aka BadiMaa in &TV’s Bhagyalaxmi

I have always loved Diwali and celebrated it with so much enthusiasm. No matter how old you grow the glee of Diwali always remains the same. Also, however busy you may be it’s impossible not to have some kind of Diwali celebrations. If not at home just about anywhere the festivities are the same and that’s what the spirit of Diwali is all about. Coming together and celebrating. So, even if I am stuck at the shoot, I will be celebrating with my younger colleagues in Bjagyalakshmiand shower affection on them just like Bhabhi Ma does in the show.

Sara Khan aka Pavitra in &TV’s Bhagyalaxmi

Diwali is the time for so much masti and hungama every year. I'll be visiting a lot of friends, stuffing my face silly with sweets and savoury snacks. A couple of days that no one cares for the calories. I attend Diwali parties and just have a lot of fun. Even if I’ll be shooting I will make it special by doing something fun on the sets even if as Pavitra from BhagyalakshmiI don't believe in the value of celebrating with the family.

ChetanHansraj aka Yuvraj&TV’s Bhagyalaxmi

Whether I play a good guy or a really bad guy like Yuvraj in Bhagyalakshmi, I'm always greeted with so much love by people on Diwali. And that's what makes me look forward to the festival the most. And then all the sweets and delicacies, the gifts, the lights and celebrating with your loved ones also make it so, so special. But we also need to be responsible to our environment and not go crazy with all the polluting firecrackers just to show off how grandly we can celebrate. I hope more people have a peaceful and lovely Diwali.

AnupriyaKapoor aka Bhoomi in &TV’s Bhagyalaxmi

We always have big fat celebrations for Diwali in our family and this is the best time to meet your various uncles, aunts and cousins and have mad fun with them. I also make sure to wish all my close friends and meet as many of them as I can to celebrate the festival. I love gorging on sweets or even just enjoying the play of lights and different kinds of lanterns everywhere. This time I have so many people to celebrate with asAngoori on the sets of BhabiJiGhar Par Hain so it's going to be double celebrations.

Sudesh Berry aka Dadaji in &TV’s Begusarai

Diwali is truly the most amazing festival. Just in terms of its religious and cultural significance and all the fun and great times it brings with it. Just like my character  Manohar in Begusarai I am quite the traditionalist when it comes to Indian culture and festivals so I have great regard for Lakshmi Pujan and we wish all our near and dear ones. But I also love to have great parties, and just enjoy with good food and good vibes every single year. Then we bask in the memories for a long time to come. I can’t wait for the festivities to begin.
