Its spring, and its a new move. Not just for my life, but also my home. The new flat that I‘ve purchased is a plain jane, the walls of plain and white and quite frankly i cannot wait to put my mark on it, espically with an expression of colour. As far as helping friends go, theses are like queens. A week ago my friends came around with a craft pack. It‘s not what most would call a housewarming gift, but being a crafty lady, it was like finding a golden ticket. Inside was a yummy collection of vintage wallpaper! Perfect considering the challenge ahead http://www.spinstersemporium.co.uk/shop/paste-c-41_55.html?osCsid=b1cfa7d3ac2e5c9635c17a39331189e1

And not just any vintage wallpaper but the charming collection of retro vintage wallpapers of Spinster‘s Emporium! Have you heard that name before? It‘s almost become a well known secret around these parts. If not, then be ashamed of yourself and indulged in not only a large collection of vintage wallpapers http://www.spinstersemporium.co.uk/shop/paste-c-26.html and craft packs, vintage buttons, vintage fabrics, the list goes on. The layout of the website is also something that i should mention to you. Its such a clean and fun place to browse, and unlike other vintage or craft websites there‘s no mess involved with the layout. This is a thumbs up.

I have the quirky collection of vintage wallpapers in my hand, which holds a quirky name of “Greener than an Avocado” vintage wallpaper, which is a 1970‘s wallpaper with a geometric pattern. I love all things retro and vintage, especailly interiors, my guilty secret is that i actually do want a 1970‘s style bathroom with a avocado coloured bath. The vintage wallpaper packs have 5 samples of colour co-ordinated original vintage retro wallpapers in them and you can go onto the website and order individual lengths of each. I can order just the right amount to decorate a feature wall, the cupboards, the inside of my top drawer!!

Although the wine has kicked in, the origami begins! my paper aeroplane is doing surprizingly well! Helen, my best friend is using “Do you remember the Kaleidoscope?” Vintage Wallpaper. http://www.spinstersemporium.co.uk/shop/remember-kaleidoscope-vintage-wallpaper-p-415.html What a cool name is that! And a brilliant way to describe the wallpaper, and a wonderful memory of childhood to enter our minds. Helen made a swan, and my oh my was that the most beautifuliest swan that ive even seen, the lilac swirls and whirls could transform any average origami and is perfect for other paper crafts.Unfortunately Ellie gave up on the origami but brought along a scrapple. It is amazing how much you can do with a craft pack of vintage wallpaper and a creative flare. The darling had made a beautiful hand made card from the “Flying Fox” Vintage wallpaper pack http://www.spinstersemporium.co.uk/shop/flying-vintage-wallpaper-pack-p-561.html .

My house is already starting to feel more homely, especially now that a swan, and owl and a hand made card are displayed across the mantle piece. Thank you Spinster‘s Emporium, the start of the craft has begun. The list can go on. I think i may even make a patchwork vintage wallpaper wall in the minuscule toilet room!
