I have a pal who was totally interested in getting a Jazzy Scooter. For a time, I really attempted to feign at the least a small amount of interest while he jabbered on, and on about how exactly terrific it would be when he found the right one. Truthfully, I couldn't understand why it was very important to him. Not because we dwell in an area where it's raining 90% of the time, and any open vehicle is completely useless for all however the two days of summer we're provided yearly; and not because he's over 6 feet tall, and weighs in at a hefty, scooter crushing 400 pounds. My very poor friend has cracked his back two times, and sustained other various injuries throughout the 30 years he was a construction worker. He is afflicted with excruciating leg pain brought on by diabetes, and has severe belly issues resulting from heavy medication, and a sedentary lifestyle. Although, twice, he has miraculously was able to find the will to prevent himself from expending the rest of his life in a wheelchair, he can barely stand for more than a few minutes at a time. I was concerned that a scooter would be far too uncomfortable, and that the bumps, and vibration alone would be distressing for him. I put quite a lot of thought into what I might say when he unavoidably realized that he'd squandered a great deal of money, anywhere between $600 for a basic unit, to upwards of $4,000 for a fully equipped scooter, on nothing more than a pricey, useless toy. I was afraid that even a Jazzy Scooter used unit, generally priced at 50% or less than newer models, would be far more pricey than could be justified.

The Jazzy Scooter battery lasts an exceptionally long time before it needs recharging. As it turns out, that's a huge bonus. My friend was able to get a Jazzy Scooter from a reputable scooter jazzy scooterstore, for an exceptionally less expensive price, and the scooter is so comfortable that there's rarely a time when it's not in use. It's hard to describe how fantastic it feels to see my friend not only mobile again, but really savoring his newfound freedom. The speed the scooters can achieve is a little astonishing. Although he's ten years my senior, my motherly instincts often kick in, and I have to bite my tongue to keep from chastising him for going too fast.

The units are street legal. The attachment of a simple, orange safety flag makes sure that he can be seen by other drivers. Because of the layout of his apartment, he must cross a large patch of lawn to get to the sidewalk. Concerns that he may become stuck, in part, simply because our lawns are nearly always wet to some extent, were quickly laid to rest. The scooter is way more powerful than appearance could possibly lead one to believe, capable of traversing nearly any landscape with ease. Although I was initially afraid that the unit would be underpowered in relation to his size, it shows no sign that it's straining in any respect; the seat doesn't even squeak.

My last concern was that our generally wet conditions would stop him from riding it enough to justify the purchase. There are a million as well as one Jazzy Scooter accessories, available through numerous reputable dealers, including several, realistically affordable, tent like enclosures that allow him to ride the scooter in the most awful weather conditions without the worry of becoming soaked, overheated, or frozen.
