Raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Warren Hales became interested in guitar at a young age. It wasn’t until he saw the now mainstream Reggie Wu, guitarist and founder of Heaven’s Edge playing bass that he decided to switch instruments. The Warren Hales Band is a product of years of following the Cherry Hill music scene and drawing from painful life experience.

Cherry Hill, New Jersey, February 12, 2014 - Warren Hales was born and raised in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, the home of Blixtar Records. Warren Hales, who one
day noticed rocker Reggie Wu, lead guitarist of Heaven’s Edge shredding guitar, quickly became interested in becoming a musician and joined a local rock band. After playing the Cherry Hill scene, with his band Voyager, Warren decided to take a musical hiatus, during which many fans thought he’d given up music for good.

Siting heartbreak as his primary motivation for writing music, Warren once again picked up a guitar, and before he knew it, had 20 songs waiting to be recorded. Having been away from his hometown during his pursuit of stardom, he returned to New Jersey, where he reunited with the man who inspired him to pursue music in the first place, Reggie Wu. Warren began receiving lessons from Wu, who had also built a recording studio. They released several tracks including “Shining Strong” and “Loves’ Little Tragedies”.

Available on Amazon and other online retailers as well as Tower Records, “Hook, Line, and Nothing” is an in your face album that perfectly illustrates the heartbreak and emotion that comes with the territory. Fans of Heaven’s Edge will immediately hear the influence of Reggie Wu, as well as iconic artists such as The Who, Kansas, and Hendrix, and recognize the music as pure rock.
