Vandana Pathak replaces Anahita Jahanbaksh in BIG MAGIC’s Mahisagar
Fans of Vandana Pathak will be overjoyed to know that the veteran television actress has bagged the lead role of Ansuya in BIG MAGIC’s Mahisagar.
Initially essayed by AnahitaJahanbaksh, Vandana has taken over from where she left. However a source on set confirmed Anahita (who originally played Ansuya) had requested the producers (Hats Off Productions) for a month-long leave to get married. However since Ansuya was a principal character in Mahisagar, the producers were unable to accommodate her request and had to look for an alternative actress to take her place. And who better than Vandana, with her quirks and excellent comic timing to showcase the masala that the character needs to have. The show has been produced by HATS OFF productions.
Recently, the channel also roped in Anuj Thakur to replace Shashank Sethi as the lead — Shiv in their popular rom-com Love DostiDua.
A light-hearted relationship drama set in urban Gujarat,Mahisagar revolves around the life of Mahi, a sweet, carefree small-town girl who is pitted against her politically distinguished mother-in-law, Ansuya Mehta, when she falls for Ansuya’s son Sagar. What follows is an entertaining and light hearted drama of class difference between mother in law and daughter in law, with the son sandwiched in between.
