OMRON Automation to strengthen its business in Madhya Pradesh

Indore, July 4, 2014: Omron Automation India, part of Omron Japan- a global leader in automation technology- is all set to strengthen its business in Madhya Pradesh as one of the important regional expansion plans to be followed by the company in this FY. The company shared the information at its annual channel cum customer symposium held at Indore today.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sameer Gandhi, MD, OMRON Automation India said, “In order to match pace with the ever-changing and complex requirements of the manufacturing sector, industrial automation is gaining huge significance amongst OEMs and customers. Keeping in view the various government initiatives to exploit the immense potential of textile, auto and pharma manufacturing industries in the state — which are OMRON Automation’s focus areas too - it is one of the key destinations for us in central India.”

With “heart of India” as its moniker, the state is centrally located and touches the boundaries of five states which further make it a preferred destination for setting up manufacturing bases by many industries from adjoining areas. Elaborating further on the strategy for the region, Mr. Gandhi stated that the company aims to expand its channel network in the state by expanding its presence in many cities such as Indore (the commercial hub and the largest city of the state ; has SEZ), Jabalpur and Itarsi.

Attended by more than 80 participants, comprising of OEMs, channel partners, system integrators and end users, the symposium aimed to enrich know-how of the participants through a complete showcase of the entire range of OMRON Automation portfolio comprising of SYSMAC Platform, Vision Inspection Solution, Robotics Solutions, Machine Safety Solutions, etc. It also provided an interactive platform to them to know more about the company, its vision and plans for the region. Discussion on the company's recently opened Automation Centre at Mumbai - a state-of-the-art facility for the customers to help them make the best of their investment in industrial automation - was another highlight of the event.
