NehalaxmiIyer pays a tribute to Raj Kapoor’s ‘MeraNaam Joker’
STAR Plus’ popular show Ishqbaaaz is currently winning the audiences hearts with its comic plots coupled with the high-end family drama.
The recent track recently featured the girls on the show, Annika, Mallika, Saumya and Priyanka turn ghosts for a girl’s vs boys challenge wherein the girls turn ghosts to scare the three Oberoi brothers.
In particular, we hear that NehalaxmiIyer who plays the role of Saumya on the show was seen sporting a joker for this particular chunk. While she definitely made for a cute joker, we hear that the actress staying true to her bubbly Bollywood lover self, made sure she made full use of the joker costume.
Talking about the same, Nehalaxmi said, “Well, my character Saumya and me in real life are both ardent Bollywood lovers and while I was really kicked about my joker look, I ensured that after shoot, my favorite Raj Kapoor song “JeenaYahaanMarnaYahaan” is played. And when it did, I entertained my entire cast and crew with a surprise act as a tribute to the legendary Raj Kapoor and MeraNaam Joker.”
