Makers get special kundan jewelry made for Shweta Basu Prasad’s on screen swayamvar!
Actress Shweta Basu Prasad who is currently playing the role of a warrior princess, Nandni in STAR Plus’ latest offering Chandra-Nandni recently shot her first on screen swayamvar. Makers didn’t leave any stone unturned to make this sequence look larger than line and ensured grand arrangements for the actress’ look on screen.
An insider revealed that there was a special set of kundan jewelry made especially for Shweta as she is allergic to animation jewelry and strictly against wearing them. While the look decided was definitely fit the swayamvar of a princess, we hear Shweta personally handpicked the jewelry from all that was made to suit the requirements of her look. Additionally, she will always be spotted wearing real jewelry in the show going forward.
Commenting on the same, Shweta said “Animation and fake jewelry is a strict no-no for me. My skin too is extremely sensitive hence all the jewelry I am wearing on the show is made of a special material. Yes, for the royal swayamvar of Nandni too, the jewelry was kundan which had intricate work on it and was extremely beautiful. It was tough to choose, but the look has come out beautifully and I can’t wait for the audience to watch the sequence.”
Nandni’sswayamvar will have 14 princes from all over India compete for the coveted title of Nandni’s husband, but only the one destined will win over the princess’ heart. It will only be a treat for the audience to watch how Chandra and Nandni’s paths cross as Chandragupt now enter Magadh amidst the swayamvar celebrations as part of his plan to destroy Nand and his kingdom.
