Mahindra FES showcases its range of tractors, mechanization and agri solutions at International Horticulture Expo 2013

Reaffirms its commitment to deliver FarmTech Prosperity to India’s farmers

February 1, 2013, Bhopal: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Sector, the market leader in the Indian tractor industry for the past 29 years, displayed its range of tractors, farm mechanization solutions and specialized agri services at India's largest Agricultural exhibition, “International Horticulture Expo 2013” from February 1 to 3, 2013.

 

On display were tractors ranging from 15HP to 60HP which exhibited unique features.  This included the Arjun Ultra 1 DLX MAT, a multi application tractor with suitable features such as the 4 cylinder fuel efficient engine, synchro shuttle and synchromesh transmission, and Yuvraj 215 - India’s first 15 HP tractor with single cylinder fuel efficient engine and side shift gear. Also on display was the Swaraj 724 Orchard. Part of M&M’s Farm Equipment Sector, the Mahindra AppliTrac exhibit also showcased farm mechanization solutions like the Gyrovator and Mulcher.

Micro Irrigation products were displayed by Mahindra EPC and a Samriddhi Centre kiosk was set up at the exhibition, where farmers had the opportunity to experience the varied innovative farming technologies offered at the Mahindra Samriddhi centres which are transformed Mahindra Dealerships.

 

Mahindra Samriddhi aims to increase agricultural productivity through innovative farming technology, thereby enhancing rural prosperity. The focus is on going beyond tractors to deliver agri-services to the farming community which will ultimately lead to a better quality of life.  As a part of this initiative, 157 Mahindra dealerships have been transformed into Samriddhi Centres, offering the farmer easy access to technological know-how, hybrid seeds, soil and water testing facilities, demo farms, finance and insurance, internet updates and sales and servicing of tractors and tractor implements. Samriddhi centres are spread across India in Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan amongst other states.
