Hunar Hali is a Delhi girl who has made Mumbai her home with a successful and efficacious career after popular TV shows. Her acting in Sony Entertainment Television’s popular romantic saga ‘Kehta Hai Dil...Jee Le Zara’ is creating waves. We spoke to Hunar about her new endeavor. Hunar says,
Describe your character in the show Kehta Hai Dil…Jee Le Zara?
I will be playing the role of Ankita who is Dhruv’s (Ruslaan Mumtaz) childhood and best of best friend. They both bond very well and know each other in and out. Ankita goes on to develop a strong liking and fondness for Dhruv and a love triangle is formed between Sanchi, Dhruv and Me.
How is your experience working with talented and vivacious Sangeeta Ghosh and the heartthrob Ruslaan Mumtaz?
I am having a wonderful experience shooting with Sangeeta Ghosh and Ruslaan Mumtaz. Sangeeta Ghosh is brilliant in her work. She is very down to earth and friendly. I get a lot to learn from her. Ruslaan Mumtaz is a prankster. Whenever he is around the entire sets goes through a hearty laugh.
How did you prepare for your role?
I didn’t prepare at all for this role. The character of Ankita is close is very close to me and so I just had to emote naturally, which was very easy. In fact, I had to work hard on my other serial and projects where the character is totally different from me.
Acting as a profession was the first choice for you?
No acting was never a career choice for me. When I got a role in a TV show, I found the experience very interesting and stimulating. I then decided to make acting as my career and till now I have been successful.
How was your family’s reaction to your acting career?
They have always been supportive especially my mother who has always stood behind me like a Rock of Gibraltar and gave me all the encouragement I needed.
Who is your inspiration?
I have always been a huge fan of Kareena Kapoor and the various roles she has enacted have always inspired me. I would love to essay different characters like she does. Among the males, I find Salman Khan very inspiring because he is straightforward and frank.
Have you signed any films?
My recent film was Akshay Kumar’s ‘Boss’ which was a huge a hit. There are more offers coming in my way.
