He was the cunning &conniving ‘Kroor Singh’of Chandrakanta, the Rakshasha king of Lanka ‘Raavan’ in Ramayan and generous ‘MaharajBali’ of Devon KeDevMahadev. And now he is all set to play the role of another legendary anti-hero - Kans, the king of Mathura and Krishna’s maternal uncle in STAR Plus’ ‘Mahabharat’

As the battle of Kurukshetra is about to surface, Draupadi starts to feel disheartened knowing that lot of bloodshed will take place during the war including that of her own husbands and sons. Meanwhile the story will focus on the chapter of Lord Krishna’s life. The viewers will get to witness the backstory of Krishna and his maternal uncle Kans in the epic.

Talking about his association with the show, Akhilesh Mishra says “Mahabharatis one of the greatest epic we have and it’s a huge privilege that I have got an opportunity to play a role in it. It will be interesting to play Kansa as it will give a different dimension to me as an actor. I find myself one of those lucky actors, who have lived the lives of many characters and one of the few who got to play the most popular characters in Indian mythology."
