Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages wins accolades at the 8^thNational Food Safety and Quality Summit

~Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. Chittoorplant wins the CII National Award for Food Safety

~Commendations for Khurda and Ahmadabadbottling plant

 In recognition of its top of the line protocol in Food Safety Excellence, three of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Ltd. (HCCB) plants were recognized at the 8th CII National Award for Food Safety 2013. Mr. K. Chandramauli, Chairman, Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) presented the awards at an event held in New Delhi.

The Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd’s. Chitoor bottling plant received the award for “Outstanding Performance in the Large Food Business Category”. TheHCCB’s bottling plant at Khurda received a Commendation Certificate for significant achievement in Food Safetyand the plantin Ahmadabad has been awarded with Commendation Certificate for their Strong Commitment to excel in Food Safety

According to Mr. Patrick G Yadauga, Executive Director - Supply Chain, Hindustan Coca-ColaBeverages, “It is a great honour for us to receive this award. The award comes as recognition and appreciation for all the hard work and the innovative thought processes we have adopted to ensure consistent high quality and safety of our products. We at HCCB ensure the quality and safety of our beverages through an integrated approach to managing quality, environment, health and safety. We continuously review our systems and processes to ensure it meets the most stringent and up-to-date global as well as National requirements related to food safety,quality management methods, industry best practices and marketplace conditions.”

He further added, “This award motivates us further in our drive for excellence and improvement of processes.”
