Rabidus, the Latin equivalent for “crazy” is a band for Hard Rock and Metal music. These guys were born in Chicago, Illinois, USA, in the local suburbs there!
April 6, 2015, Chicago, IL, United States- Rabidus is a Chicago, IL based hard rock band reminiscent of Dire Straits, Led Zeppelin, Deftones and Slipknot. The group is comprised of four confidently talented American rockers: Mike Dobervich (Bass Guitar), Hubert Pieciak (Vocals / Guitar), Nikola Velisavljevic (Lead Guitar) and Tomasz Pilasiewicz (Drummer). Together the four have drawn a massive fan base with their high energy shows and straight to the point lyrics. They have recently launched their new EP with Welcome To Disaster, Blue Moon and Had Enough that captures the spontaneity and raw power of the band.
Rabidus defies genre definitions with their blend of alternative rock and metal, refusing to get stuck in a box and going crazy, as their name might suggest for those who are familiar with Latin! The Chicago 4-piece takes inspiration from the grunge scene of the 90s as well as from the 80s heavy metal movement. Their sound can be seen as a compromise between the threatening groove and riffing of Black Sabbath, The classic tones of Metallica and innovative ideas in the style of Bullet For My Valentine. With influences from these bands, Rabidus has succeeded in creating a new type of Hard Rock with a mix of metal music that is new and refreshing for the audience.
As a band, Rabidus has carved a niche for itself and attracts a grounded cult-like following which extends beyond their home city of Chicago, IL. After performing live shows all across US with a recent a showcase at Sokol Riders, they have just released their new EP, which is getting quite a great response from fans worldwide.
