DID Season Four announces the Top Four finalists

The dance battle intensifies between Sumedh, Manan, Shyam and Biki as the 4 prepare for the Grand Finale…

February 15, 2014: India’s biggest ever dance reality show, Zee TV’s Dance India Dance Season 4, announced its Top 4 finalists on Saturday night—Shyam Yadav of Mumbai, Sumedh Mudgalkar of Pune, Manan Sachdeva of Karnal and Biki Das of Kolkata. Having raced past the rest, the Top 4 are now all set to battle it out with each other to win the much coveted ‘Sunehri Taqdeer ki Topi’ on Saturday, 22nd February at 8 PM. Given a chance to showcase their talent on the DID platform, it was a dream come true for all 4. While they prepare for their finale battle, each one of them is grateful to their masters for mentoring them and making them what they are today.

Carving their talent, Master Mudassar, Master Feroz and Master Shruti say they have learnt more than they have given to this talented, spirited bunch. Talking about Sumedh and Manan, Master Shruti said, “The day I saw Manan perform at the auditions, I knew I had to have him in my team. At his age, I was half as good as he is and he is, in fact, a natural dancer as swag comes naturally to him.” “The day Sumedh was eliminated, I knew he was leaving only to be back. And he did come back for good. Sumedh is here to win and he is giving it his cent percent. He hasn’t set one wrong foot ever since he’s stepped on to this platform.” Talking about his protégé Shyam, Master Mudassar said, “Bollywood being his forte, I knew Shyam was an overall performer with amazing expressions and superb body language. When he was chosen amongst the Top 18, I had told him that I would make him try several new dance forms, considering one needs to be a well-rounded, versatile dancer to be successful on this platform. There were struggles, but Shyam stood out clearly and with all his might achieved what he rightly deserves. For him, there is no looking back now!” Biki Das’s Master Feroz also had glowing words of praise for him. Feroz said, “Biki was the least worrisome kid for me, as he was always very sorted and knew his technique of dance inside out. While I spent time training others, Biki was never dependant on me and would finish his practice even before I could start explaining the concept to him. I am sure the other 3 deserve the trophy as much as him, but for me, Biki Das is a hands-down winner.”

From standing in long queues to audition for the show, to now being Top 4 contenders, the lives of Shyam, Sumedh, Manan and Biki have come a long way. The 4 performed live on Saturday night at a mall in Malad, Mumbai where thousands thronged to get a glimpse of the dancing stars. Elated to be amongst the Top 4, and performing live in front of a large audience, the Top 4 said, “Today we truly danced it out for the nation which has supported us through all these months. It’s so humbling to see so many people to gather to catch us live. Today’s event has recharged us and we are all set to give our best at the finale.”

The race to finale has just begun, and India now waits with bated breath to hear the name of the winner. Only time will tell who will win the Sunehri Taqdeer Ki Topi of Dance India Dance Season 4.

Do not miss the Grand Finale of DID Season 4, on 22nd February at 8 PM, Only on Zee TV!
