Cherrystone Auctions, an internationally-recognized stamp auction house in New York City, has replenished its stock of stamps available through its online store. Cherrystone’s online store complements its frequently-held public auctions and features rare, valuable stamps from around the world, searchable by country of origin and by topic. The website for the online store, distinct from the website for the auction house itself, is listed below.

The newest additions to the stock of stamps available through the online stamp store from Cherrystone Auctions are easily accessed by clicking the new button, “View Newest Items” in the top right corner of the store website’s homepage. Among the most recent stamps available is a stamp from the United States in 1867 that was issued with an original value of two cents. The stamp features a portrait of the seventh President of the United States, Andrew Jackson.

As with each stamp in the online store, a high-quality image is provided along with an accompanying description of the stamp, its condition and other relevant details. The 1867 Andrew Jackson stamp’s description reads: “1867 2c black, Z.Grill, full original gum which has only been lightly hinged, centered to right as often, traces of extraneous gum on face at upper left, rare stamp, with 2003 PSE certificate.” A catalogue value for the stamp is listed as $17,500, and its price in Cherrystone’s online stamp store is listed as $2,500.

Another lot recently added to the online store consists of stamps that were issued in the former French colony of Algeria. The lot consists of over 10 stamps that were issued in 1930; an image of the lot on the website shows that the stamps are printed with a variety of different colors, including blue, red, green, black and brown. One stamp in the lot is printed in two colors, red and green. The lots’ description reads, “1930 Centenary of French Rule, imperforate singles, unused without gum, signed brun.” The price of the Algerian stamp lot recently listed for sale in Cherrystone’s online store is $200.00.

Cherrystone Auctions was founded in 1967.
