Celebrating Teacher’s day with &TV artists

A good teacher is like a candle; it consumes itself to light the way for others. True to this, there are many television personalities who have been a guiding force in the lives of many. Listed below are few of them who share with us their Teacher’s Day memories and also expresses of what does this wonderful day means to them.

Shaan who is seen as a coach in &TV’s The Voice India Kids

I have been learning singing since the past 10 years from UstadGhulam Mustafa Khan. I consider him a father figure as whatever he shares with me stays in my mind. As a mentor on The Voice India Kids I feel happy that I am imparting knowledge and experience with the youth of tomorrow. The kids learn, absorb and adapt quickly. As they say, “The beautiful thing about learning is that no one can take it away from you.”

Neeti Mohan who is seen as a coach in &TV’s The Voice India Kids

The biggest teacher of my life is my Dad. I am glad that he taught me to be a good student; not only in studies but in everything I do. I feel privileged to be a part of The Voice India Kids as apart from imparting lessons to the kids, I get to learn a lot from them as well. I have my fondest memories of Teacher’s day from my boarding school and it was one of those days we all would eagerly wait for. I am a firm believer in the thought that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

Akshay Dogra a.k.aJagan from Waaris

I will be shooting for my show “Waaris” on Teacher’s day, but, I would surely like to pay my gratitude to all the people who have come in my life either in a form of a relationship or have been able to teach me something which has been able to help me in the run. I remember that teacher’s day used to be such a huge celebration back in my school (APJ sheikh Sarai, New Delhi), it totally felt like a festival. On one of the years I clearly remember that I had stitches on my head one day before teacher’s day but I still went to school with a bandage on my head because I so wanted to be a part of the celebration.

SaumyaTandona.k.a Anita bhabi from ‘BhabiJiGhar Par Hai’

Teachers have always played the role of parents in my life and their presence has helped me in my upbringing. The lessons they have taught me in my life have helped me become the person I am today. Every Teachers day I used to give my father a letter and a rose as he was the person who used to prepare me for all the debates, public speaking and literature classes and these were the learnings that helped me face the stage and audience confidently.

ArchanaTaidea.k.aSindoori from “SantoshiMaa”

For me life itself is my biggest teacher. On every teacher’s day I always recitea special prayer thanking my teachers for sculpting my personality. My fondest memory of Teacher’s day dates back to my school days. In school we used to perform on teacher’s day and it was that one day when we could get away with even mimicking our teachers(laughs).
