Can a widow blooming love survive under societal norms and pressures

Television actress, Additi Gupta portrays the woman of today who finds love after widowhood on Yeh Hai Aashiqui

 

This week, bindass’ show Yeh Hai Aashiqui will feature the talented television actress Additi Gupta as the protagonist in its upcoming episode. Additi will be essaying the role of a strong young widow, Ganga, who falls in love with Sid, a journalist. While she is living at an ashram for widows, fighting the misfortune of her life, Ganga falls for a man who understands her willingness to live on.

 

Additi, a popular face on Indian television has been a part of shows like Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil and Sanjog se Bani Sangini where she showed the audience her darker side by playing the antagonist. While talking about her role on Yeh Hai Aashiqui, the actress said, I follow Yeh Hai Aashiqui and I love the fact that they portray some beautiful and impactful love stories. When the channel approached me, I was thrilled to be a part of the show. After reading the script, I could instantly connect with the story and my character since I did something similar in my last show. The story is so emotional and different; I just had to be a part of it. The best part about Yeh Hai Aashiqui is that each story aptly conveys a message to today’s young audiences.

 

Apart from Additi, television actor Abhishek Rawat will also be seen in this episode, essaying the sensitive role of the journalist who falls for the widow, Ganga. The show will be hosted by the popular television actor Rithvik Dhanjani, who will take the viewers through the story. After reading the script, I could instantly connect with the story and my character since I did something similar in my last show. The story is so emotional and different; I just had to be a part of it. The best part about Yeh Hai Aashiqui is that each story aptly conveys a message to today’s young audiences.
