Bollywood Legends on Movies OK every Sunday Evening

~Movies OK pays tribute to Bollywood legends with plethora of classic movies from 10th March~

 

Mumbai: Movies OK, where entertainment unfolds every hour, brings an occasion to bond with family and friends over the best of yester year’s cinema. With Hindi Cinema celebrating its 100 years, the channel is proud to announce the screening of Bollywood Classics starring legendary actors every Sunday evening starting 10th March 2013.

Movies OK has always been providing viewers with a potpourri of different films- be it Action, Romance, or Comedy.  With the new ground breaking initiative of bringing legends of Hindi Cinema together, Movies OK is equipped to reinstate the idiom ‘Old is Gold’ and pay a humble tribute to the Bollywood legends of Indian Cinema like Dev Anand, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra and many more.

Movies OK has slated movies of all these numerous gems that have touched our hearts in the Golden Era. Some of the movies that viewers can relive and be hooked on to are Guide, Hare Ram Hare Krishna, Jewel Thief, Pratigya, Don and Dostana.

Appreciating this initiative of Movies OK, some of the well known celebrities from the fraternity expressed their memories of the Golden Era of Bollywood.

Tinu Anand recalls the actors back then and says, “The aura and charisma of Actors in the 80’s and 90’s stood unmatched. The fan following for Dev Anand and Rajesh Khanna was maddening; Dharmendra was one handsome man and the discipline, dedication of Amitabh Bachchan is unsurpassed. And it feels proud to affirm that they have earned all the fame and respect through hardwork.”

Esha Deol asserted, “I feel proud to be the daughter of two immensely talented and versatile actors (Hema Malini & Dharmendra). The chemistry that they shared on screen was just magical. The best thing about Papa was his simplicity that got reflected in every character he dawned. Watching Pratigya on television is going to be yet another family experience.”

Shaan, the singer, shared his connect with the mesmerizing songs that caught everyone’s attention. He says, “Tere Mere Sapne from the movie Guide has been my all time favorite. The songs in the movies back then were so touching and the actors did complete justice to it. Rajesh Khanna raised the romance quotient in our lives through his songs and acting. Experiencing all those fascinating movies again on television is like reliving the Classics.”
