Biography of tragedy king Dilip Kumar to be unveiled on 9th June
Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan to launch living legend’s biograph

Dilip kumar, who himself in real sense is an university of acting is going to witness unveiling of his most awaited biography, penned by ace writer and his family friend, Uday Tara Nayar. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and actor Aamir Khan will launch legendary actor Dilip Kumar’s biography.
The biography ‘Substance and Shadow’ was earlier scheduled to release on Kumar’s 91st birthday last year, but will be now unveiled on June 9. The book will be launched by Bachchan and Khan in the presence of Dilip sahib,his wife Saira Banu, legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar and Nayar.
The launch event to be held at a renowned hotel in Mumbai is expected to be a historic moment! What with who's who of the film industry coming together and being actively involved into it! Filmmaker Karan Johar will be the host of the mega book launch event!

Lata Mangeshkar will light the inaugural lamp and begin the event by singing a few lines for Dilip Sahab followed by top notch stars - megastar Amitabh Bachchan and perfectionist Aamir Khan - unveiling the autobiography. While Big B will read a verse or a paragraph from the book, Aamir will recite a poem, written by Prasoon Joshi.
Other close pals and industry veterans like Dharmendra will read a few lines on the thespian; Vyjayanthimala will speak few words in honour of the legendary actor. Interestingly, Javed Ali and Shaan will perform a medley of Dilip Kumar's evergreen hits, which has been composed by Lalit Pandit. If this was not enough then, an audio visual-3D mapping video on the entire journey of Dilip Sahab will also be played at the event.
If all goes well, Shah Rukh and Salman Khan might attend the launch event! Hema Malini, Madhuri Dixit, Tina and Anil Ambani, Kamal Haasan, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra, Vidya Balan are also expected to grace the occasion!
In a career spanning over six decades, the actor gave many memorable films including ‘Madhumati, ‘Devdas’, ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Ganga Jamuna’, ‘Ram Aur Shyam, and others in lead roles. Alike his inning of male lead roles, his second inning started with Manoj Kumar”s “Kranti” gave him a new fame. “Mashaal”, “Karma” “Vidhaata” “Saudagar: and “Shakti” are those films which will be remembered for his matchless performance as character actor. He was last seen in film ‘Qila’ in 1998. Kumar was honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 1991 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994.
