I bet you have already noticed it’s getting darker in the evenings and summer seems to be a distant memory but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you can’t have a fantastic party with the main feature being a traditional hogroast.

Mike Berry, Owner of The English Hog Roast Company states “Although we may not have the summer weather for the next few months. There’s no reason why you still can’t enjoy a Hogroast for your event or party. With Halloween and Bonfire night just around the corner why not put a “BANG” into your party and tries a hogroast?”

“When we first started the business we were mad busy in the summer months and much quieter over the winter. I guess that was that I hadn’t really twigged how great a hogroast could be when the nights are darker and the temperature drops. For the last couple of winters we have been promoting the fact that a hogroast is great anytime in the year, especially at big events such as Halloween and Bonfire night when people generally are accustomed to celebrating outside. We are also doing a lot more hogroasts indoors too. There’s no reason whatsoever that you can’t host one anytime during the year.”

“We are finding that a lot of companies now are looking to hire a different kind of catering for their corporate events too. We have been really lucky to have worked with some huge brands recently including Tesco, Swallow Hotels, The National Trust, Best Western Hotels, The Laura Ashley Hotel and The University of Cambridge.”

“Another growing market for us in the wedding catering market — enquiries from this sector are definitely showing year on year growth.”

I also guess one of the major advantages to a hog roast is the cost. In general it is a lot more affordable than main stream catering. If you wanted to do the cooking yourself, the DIY option, including meat costs less than £4 per head. I think this offers unbelievable value for money.”

So whether it’s an autumn wedding, sporting event, corporate product launch or a more intimate celebration that needs a new and exciting party “twist” The English Hog Roast Company are well worth a try.
