Amrita Puri Makes Her Television Debut With The EPIC Channel
The Actress Enacts‘Charulata’ On Anurag Basu’s ‘Stories by Rabindranath Tagore’
The EPIC Channel, India’s first segmented Hindi entertainment channel recently launched ‘Stories by Rabindranath Tagore’ recreated by the acclaimed director, Anurag Basu.
The show focusses on strong women protagonists who pushed boundaries and defied society in 19th century Bengal through songs, cultural references and newfound political and social manifestations.
The strong, confident actress, Amrita Puri takes on the role of ‘Charulata’ in a Tagore story titled, ‘The Broken Nest’ as her television debut on The EPIC channel. This episode will air on August 3 at 10pm on The EPIC Channel. The actress has been seen in popular bollywood blockbusters including Aisha and Kai Po Che before stepping onto the small screen.
