Wow, what a great guitar, smooth sounding, but with bite for Bluegrass, or country finger-style. Guitar has it all. She is very clean, beautiful big sound, easily played. Comes in a standard black dreadnought HSC. A seriously nice steel string guitar. There were numerous upgrades to this guitar from Richard, the builder of this guitar and the owner of Santa Cruz, including Gotoh machines, the woods are Cocobolo for Back/Sides, Volute V for neck to headstock, etc. I realized there’s a peg missing for the neck strap, easily replaced. I saw it in the photos later (Doh!) Ryan and I played this guitar when it came in, oohing and ahhing for good reason. I have a number of great steel strings here in the gallery, all special, but I think this one goes a bit beyond with a fullness and round fat coloring that makes her the ideal finger picking guitar. I’m going to really enjoy playing this baby. LOL __________ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.
