Ashley is simply a superb builder. Built to his highest standards, the purflings feature Hard Maples and Red Gum. The Rosette is all Maples. The Bindings are all East Indian Rosewoods. The Carbon Fiber bracing is enhanced with Balsa, while the tail block is built with Hoop Pine. The exquisite top sound board is a specially selected Western Red Cedar top with superb Medullar Ray figuring. The East Indian Rosewoods are a beautiful blend of ruddiness to dark chocolates and a figuring that is splendid. With a beautiful clear voice, I was inspired to play lightly and emotionally, where Dan and I were surprised at how beautifully she recorded. The audio is below. The guitar is simply outstanding. The guitar has been played very little, but still evidences a small amount of typical and minor honest playing wear on the top and back can be found. I have priced it well below its “new” price.
