CITES Ineligible due to CITES constraints 2007 Kolya Panhuyzen Spruce CSA Comments Master builder Kolya Panhuyzen from Germany (now in Canada) are a pleasure to play, listen to  and look at, given his high standards of excellence.   Kolya leaves us with a musically expressive, lyrical and handsome instrument using a fairly standard bracing system within the confines of traditional building.  Condition of the guitar is very good with typical and honest playing wear.  Photos show various dings and scratches to the best of my ability.  She has been around for a few years, and was played.  Well taken care of, in general, there is nothing of consequence to report, typical very tiny nail marks and slight scratches on the top, very difficult to see except up close.  Back and sides are very good as well, no cracks, no issues.  A suction cup guitar rest system was used on the guitar.  I’ve buffed it real good, but it’s still very obvious. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?).  My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.  I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything.  Thanks.
