Kenny Hill Performance #18410 Cedar 640mm Comments: First note that this is the overseas version of the Performance. I find it equal to the original Performance guitars made in Ben Lomond, CA. Hard to see that there’s any difference. Except in the price, of course. Very nice. The 640mm models measure approximately 1/8″ less than the 650mm in all dimensions. This guitar is beautiful. Kenny and his staff are choosing some of the prettiest woods I’ve ever seen, while being structurally correct for sonic character. The Cedar soundboard is so beautifully ruddy, she’s so gorgeous. Her sound, timbre, resonance, and her play are equally spectacular. The Rosewood is equally beautiful. Forget losing anything just because she’s a touch smaller. If anything, the darned guitar is more intense, as if she wants to explode with more power because she’s contained. Ridiculously good is an apt phrase for the guitar.
