Action  3.1mm to 2.25mm  low E to High E 12th unfretted CITES  Ineligible, paperwork is not available for this guitar – please read link to the left 2020 Len Laviolette #146 Spruce CSA Comments Just arrived, this guitar is another superb example of the beauty, warmth, roundness and clarity of Engelmann Spruce used as a top soundboard!  The Brazilian Rosewood (CSA standing for Central South American RW) is superb as well, lending a bell like quality to the trebles.  I found the guitar having plenty of bass response while driving in the mids, piercing in the highs.  Pretty, full bodied voice, very powerful as well, and easy to play.  The Double Top works well, while not overpowering any aspect of the guitar.  I was surprised by how round she sounds, with nothing shrill or unexpected. Excellent work by the master luthier from California.  Len’s work was intriguing and accessible price-wise to me.  Looking forward to seeing her, I was pleasantly surprised at how easily she plays, her warmth, clarity and projection.  I’ve changed photography angles on some of the shots, in that you can see imperfections and checking in the back woods, as well as the soundboard and neck.  I will be doing this going forward with all front and back shots, shooting quadrants up-close for various used and or vintage instruments.  This to ease my overall transparency to prospective buyers, as I’m all about full disclosure.   In the end, it simply makes sense to do this. He included a comfortable armrest as well as Schaller Grand Tune Premium Tuning Machines.  Schaller has a wide selection of machines, but little is known of the premium offerings, with roller bearing and incredible smoothness, besides being very attractive.  The guitar is strung with D’Addario Nylon and Carbon high tension strings. _______ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible.
