It is some early insight into the musical nature of Ashley’s take on the Australian build, as his guitars are always lyrical, more so than most other Australian builders. So, hehe, pardon me, the guitar is gorgeous. Her sound is powerful, crisp, clear with beautiful sustain. Action is low yet drive-able. The man knows his neck and body angles. Ash recently setup this exact guitar and refreshed the polish. The client also upgraded the case to a beautiful and light BAM XL CG case. The price reflects these upgrades. The guitar is labeled Oct 2011, where Ashley usually includes a serial #. Internal inspection has a clear dating of the soundboard, stating September 2011, but no signature. The dating is in Ash’s handwriting, so no worries there. The woods are ridiculously beautiful. Ashley, again and again, goes way out of his way to create the most beautiful and luscious sounding guitars. That is incorrect, a completely different guitar. This is the October 2011 that I played, Spruce with Brazilian RW. She is a beautiful guitar, plays really well, low setup, with crystal trebles and blooming basses. Lot of fun.
