Action 3.9mm & 3.3mm low to high E 12th fret unfretted CITES Ineligible – paperwork is not available for this guitar 2001 Richard Bruné #638 Spruce CSA Comments: This is an excellent example of the Bruné Artist model, custom made without center back inlay, the back appears to have been made of one single piece of CSA rosewood. The tone is bright, clear, and very colorful, exceptionally well balanced with tremendous projection and presence. Easy to play, beautiful to behold, the top has taken on a natural amber color of age that is really attractive, and the condition is quite good. Being almost 20 years, and played, she does have fine scratches in the finish in and around the rosette, along with a typical string ding behind the treble E string. All honest playing wear, very insignificant. The special is, of course, in the woods, as Richard uses nothing other than the best at his wide disposal. The magic is in the setup and the play, the intense musicality the instrument allows you, in the infamous vein of those great luthiers of the past. Richard brings his guitars to the forefront of what is truly special in a classical guitar, as evidenced by the numerous well known players using his guitars. ________________________ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.
