Photographed and played by me personally, first impressions are clear, sweet and silky. I will write more upon recording. She has very little to no playing wear, except for the slightest bit of rubbing of the finish on the back in a localized area. The owner bought the guitar and then simply never played it. This is a “superb” classical guitar. She also has golpes around the rosette, protecting the guitar. Bear in mind that the accompanying photographs can be opened in a “new” window and blown up quite large, making it easier for you to inspect the instrument visually. There is nothing of note to say about her overall condition. The guitar was well cared for and then ignored. I have polished the guitar, cleaned the fretboard, did some slight setup and maintenance on her, right in front of the client, while he enjoyed the peace and serenity of our environment here. The guitar is now playing at a high level. I felt she was getting choked with higher tension strings, so I went with a Normal Tension EJ45 by D’Addario. She has responded beautifully. She has a beautiful round tone, very magical. Clearly voiced, depth in the basses, growl in the mids, crystalline trebles, with action at 4.0mm at the low E 12th fret and 3.5mm high E, with no evidence of buzz. You can drive this guitar. _____________ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.
