Pretty, full bodied voice, very powerful as well, and easy to play. Excellent work by the master luthier from Colorado. Wilson’s work was intriguing and accessible price-wise to me. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily she plays, her warmth, clarity and projection. The guitar is strung with Savarez Corum high tension strings. Description from Wilson himself is attached below French polish Gilbert individual tuners Hiscox case Redwood top Honduras mahogany neck EIRW bridge with MOP tie block cover Indonesia ebony fretboard Indonesia ebony bindings and head plate Standard nickel frets Savarez Corum high tension strings “The EIRW back and sides are part of twenty sets I purchased from Lynn Weissenrieder, father of the late John Weissenrieder, in March 2019. The redwood I purchased from Oregon Wildwood, and if you need me to I can email receipts for the ebony I used for head plate and bindings. I had originally ordered Gilbert traditional tuners, but Greg Montis sent me the individual tuners instead. I put strings on this guitar September 19, 2019, it is brand spanking new! I showed it at the Denver Guitar Festival and Competition at the Lamont School of Music, Denver University, September 21-22, 2019. It was well received by everyone, especially by Laura Husbands, DU professor and Steven Lerman, winner of the competition.” ——- She has voice and is quite powerful. I’m looking forward to recording with the guitar today! He’s a character too. Look at his photo, you can see it in his eyes! LOL Good guy. Wilson Burnham in his workshop Best and feel free to give me a ring to discuss at 631-335-5447, ask for Rich About Wilson Burnham – “I hand craft classical guitars in a small studio outside of Allen’s Park, Colorado. I use only hand tools and high quality woods to make my guitars. This allows me to make a guitar that has a true singing voice, one that is loud and has a large range of tonal colors and nuances. As a classical guitar player myself, I know the joy of playing a truly wonderful guitar – one that sings, is responsive to your playing style, is easy to play with a voice that reaches the last row of seats in a recital or concert hall, and most of all, a guitar that you fall in love with so much you never want to stop playing it. That is the kind of guitar that I make.” – Wilson Burnham _______ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?). My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar. I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything. Thanks.
