CITES CITES is not required for these woods – see link to the left 2023 Teodoro Perez #1317 Especiale Cedar Pau Ferro Comments: Just arrived. Excellent condition with evidence of honest play wear. Internal and external inspection displays no other issues. She is solid through and through with double walled side construction in the manner of Contreras Double Tapa, which is NOT a double top, but strengthened sides to direct more power and voice to the top. Note that this is their ultimate model, thus the Maestro Especial designation within the label, signed and numbered by Teodoro himself. The Pau Ferro is a beautiful sample of these heavier and dense woods. Clearly, the guitar is an example of his best work, where this particular guitar shines. Sound is bold, pure and clear with simple play that allows you to drive her. Crystalline in the trebles and forceful throughout her mids and basses, typical of an excellent example of the Madrid school of luthierie. She is very focused, easily played, well setup. Beautiful guitar by one of the great and builders and shops of Spain. The guitar is strung with my own Savage Classical Guitar Strings in HT (90lbs tension). All nylon, the benchmark for my gallery and every guitar within. I will to photograph every quadrant of the guitar, top and back in an attempt to show everything possible. I have either lightened or darkened photos to attempt to display grain, back and sides, quadrant photos to highlight anything and everything visible for your convenience. Again, all honest play wear, nothing significant, nail ticks, in and around the rosette. The back and sides are gorgeous! Fully transparency at all times here in my gallery, as I always do with measurements, recordings, photography and discussions. __________ Media Listening with high quality headphones or audio equipment is highly recommended including EQ manipulation, if possible. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as possible.
