Vicente Carrillo India Estudio Cedar EIRW 640mm Specs Once you’ve tried these classical guitars, I am confident you will agree that once again, Vicente has delivered a remarkable line of finely-crafted student grade instruments.  I am pleasantly surprised at how much voice and power these guitars display.  They are truly excellent guitars at an accessible price point.  These guitars are also rather difficult to find in the 640mm scale length. Solid Wood Soundboard This listing is for the Vicente Carrillo India Estudio Cedar EIRW 640mm ONLY Bone nut & saddle Sound board: Cedar (solid woods) Back & sides: East Indian Rosewood (solid woods) Fingerboard: Ebony with Dual-Action Truss Rod for easy adjustments (this is regarding the newer 2024 models, identical to the older iterations except for the new truss rod addition). Finish: Flat Lacquer, thinly applied 51mm nut width String Spacing: 42mm at 1st fret – 50mm at 12th fret – 59mm string spacing at bridge – these are approximations as each guitar may be “slightly” different. (Players with shorter hands and/or fingers should seriously consider the 640mm. My fitting sessions with numerous players over the years has proven that this slightly smaller scale is simply more comfortable for the majority of players, while sacrificing nothing in terms of tone and volume. The difference is the length of the neck, the width of the nut at 48-51mm and the proportional fretting of the instrument. The 650mm is suitable for those players whose spread between thumb and pinky is 9″ or greater. You can also measure your pinky tip to index finger tip spread comfortably.  You should be at 6.5″-7″ on this measurement – you would adjust 1″ less for each scale length lower. The 640mm is suitable for those players whose spread between thumb and pinky is 8″-9″ The 628mm is best for players with a span of 7″-8″ The 615mm scale length is best for players with a span of 7″ or less to about 6″ Of course, these are generalizations, but I do find that most players fit these standards. These guitars are setup by me personally for lower action to the point of not making noise.  This guitar is set right now at 3.5mm and 2.9mm bass and treble side at 12th fret open. Also please note that string spacings and nut width are approximate and can vary slightly from guitar to guitar. The case is a soft shell exterior, with a hard interior shell.  It’s all rather solid, light, easy to carry, with straps. We record everything flat with just a touch of Reverb to relieve dryness. My goal is to record the guitar as realistically as is possible. I speak in the recordings, my thoughts about the guitar (and possibly other things?).  My speaking also serves to give you my first impressions and to also give you a balance of the engineering (or lack thereof) versus the sound of the guitar.  I simply do not have time to engineer much of anything.  Thanks. Rich Please NOTE that photos of all “production guitars” are stock photos, taken randomly for our numerous selection of guitars, whether they be from Kenny Hill – Esteve – Adalid or others.  It is virtually impossible and arduous to photograph each of our available production guitars.  I am, however, happy to take a few photos for you of any particular guitar with which your are interested. Handcrafted instruments are photographed and listed individually, usually identified by a serial number, date and or some other combination. MP3 Audio – 220805-Vicente Carrillo India Estudio Cedar EIRW 640mm – very impressive, from a tonal point of view as well as her power and projection.  As musical as any Carrillo Spanish built guitar.  The guitars are a lot of fun to play. https://www.savageclassical.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/220805-Vicente-Carrillo-India-Estudio-Cedar-EIRW-640mm.mp3 My Solo Book of sheet music is available here if you’re interested. https://www.savageclassical.com/product/richard-f-sayage-solo-guitar-works-volume-1/ ___________ Shipping: Premium Hard Shell Case (HSC) and Accessory Package is included in your purchase price.
