Yami Gautam the geek who turned glam!

Yami Gautam spills the beans on her relationship with Ayushman and early acting days

The beautiful diva Yami Gautam may have won the hearts of one and all through her Hindi debut as Ashima Roy however this week the diva will talk about how she turned into a Bengali bombshell from a Punjabi Kudi for a much acclaimed role in Vicky Donor only on zoOm’s show GeNext, the Future of Bollywood. Catch John Abraham, Ayushman Khurana, Shoojit Sarkar and Partha Mitra- director of Raajkumar Aaryyan reveal what makes her so special.

A topper in academics, a painter by interest and a foodie by nature, this qualified lawyer had no interest in B-town but it seems like destiny had something else in mind. Starting her career from regionals films and television, this diva landed her first break in a TV show written by Sagar Saradhi by chance! The makers of the show had originally visited the family for her sister but liked Yami as well so crafted a role especially for her in the show too.

New to the industry, Yami was extremely unconformable with the glitz and glamour. Watch her reveal her most embarrassing and clumsy moments in B-town only on zoOm. Discovering that acting is her forte, the star bagged Shoojit Sarkar’s national award winning film Vicky Donor and agreed to the script once her parents approved it. While her on-screen chemistry sizzled with Ayushman she may have faced a few bumps with him off-screen. In fact the actors would generally look the other way on the sets.

Like her character in the film, Yami was the epitome of righteousness in reality as well! While in college, her seniors tried to persuade the professor into giving them a free lecture for Valentine’s Day but Yami having no interest in love or romance at the time put her foot down and asked them to celebrate it elsewhere. Catch Yami disclose all this along with her idea of a relationship and her ideal guy only on GeNext, The Future of Bollywood this Monday.
