Frankfurt, 19 September 2013 — Worldhotels, a leading global group for independent upscale hotels, seeks to further expand its portfolio and maximise business for existing hotels by appointing Sven Doliwa to its new Vice President Sales & Business Development for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Doliwa will be based in the Worldhotels Head Office in Frankfurt, Germany, and will report to Paulo Salvador, the group’s Executive Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa and Global Head of Marketing and Sales, who states, “I am very glad, Sven has taken on the ambitious task to both help us expand our existing portfolio of almost 500 hotels in 250 destinations worldwide as well as to evolve new business opportunities for our existing hotels in Europe.”

Sven Doliwa has a proven track record in Sales, Marketing, Distribution and Business Development having worked in senior position for international hotel companies such as Kempinski and Hilton. Most recently before joining Worldhotels, Doliwa was Vice President Commercial at Grand City Hotels in Germany, where he was responsible for Marketing, Sales and Revenue Management.

In his new position, Doliwa will overlook and drive Worldhotels’ sales efforts in EMEA building on the groups’ strong network of more than 30 sales offices worldwide. In addition to that, he will lead the company’s Hotel Development department, aiming to complement the Worldhotels portfolio with unique hotels in new destinations as well as a range of state of the art conference venues in London and across other key European cities.

“Having worked the past seven years for Grand City Hotels, whereof seven hotels belong to the Worldhotels network, I am familiar the 360° services the group offers to its hotels,” comments Sven Doliwa. “In my new position, I am looking forward to helping Wordhotels maximise business for all its existing hotels. At the same time, I will focus on increasing Worldhotels’ brand recognition by introducing the group in new markets and key destinations in Europe.”
