Carolina Consulting has plans and commitments to their clients to expand to 10 offices in the UK by the end of 2010. They have been developing at a great pace over the last 2 years and have a good reputation in the marketing industry but are these expansion plans realistic and can the quality of service be sustained?

Growing too fast, is a common issue that strikes many ambitious firms who have developed thriving businesses that meet specific demands in the market place for the service they provide. Success is a great thing, but rapid growth can overwhelm the ill-prepared. Good customer service is often a significant factor in small business success, but ironically it is also one of the first things that tends to slip during a business‘ growth.
Growing companies will almost always have to hire new personnel to meet the demands associated with new production, new marketing campaigns, new recordkeeping and administrative requirements, etc. Careful hiring practices are always essential, but they are even more so when a business is engaged in a sensitive period of expansion. As one consultant says, "too often, companies spend all their energy on marketing and production plans and ignore developing similar roadmaps for their personnel needs."
Carolina Consulting has addressed some of these issues. The man-hours spent by their HR staff and Managers in the organization to recruit, train and develop their teams is substantial. “We have invested time in acquiring talented people and the training and development of our teams is always our Number One priority. “Where the economy has forced most businesses to downsize and left a lot of people in fear of losing their jobs and no hope of progression to more senior positions, our growth over the last few years has been exciting and means we have been able to offer opportunity for progression this is a big incentive for all of our departments.” Says Glenn, HR Consultant
Carolina Consulting believes their investment in quality people and the rewards and benefits offered are a big part at retaining their teams and maintaining high productivity and building capacity. They offer progression based on performance so as they grow will be promoting from within to ensure the management of new and existing campaigns are kept to a high standard. “We feel confident the development we are going though will not affect the standard of our service we offer our clients or customers. Expanding to 10 offices is realistic and something we are looking forward to proving over the next 12 months” says Nick, Marketing Representative at Carolina Consulting.
