VirtualTone receives small business certification from Houston’s transportation services (Metro) and Port of Houston

Houston, TX: Janet Gubert, President of VirtualTone and Vice President, Jay Gubert, are excited to announce that VirtualTone was recently certified with Houston METRO’S Small/Disadvantaged Business Programs and the Small Business Development Program at the Port of Houston Authority.

The Office of Small Business at METRO is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the Small/Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (SB/DBE) Programs through Small Business certification, business development outreach and contract compliance monitoring. Being Certified METRO Small Business or Disadvantaged Business Enterprise is not required to do business with METRO, but only SB/DBE certified firms will count towards METRO’s Annual SB/DBE Participation Goals.

METRO has an annual goal of 35 percent Small Business participation. All small business owners that are eligible for certification are encouraged to bid on METRO procurement opportunities.
