The only woman veterinarian in the county, Dr Vinaya Jangle has dedicated her life towards helping the wild and untamed animals that walk the land. Despite several close encounters that have been life threatening her love for these animals is what inspires her to go that extra mile for them each time. Time and again she has helped various animals in distress, be it a leopard in a Mumbai suburb or a crocodile stranded in a canal near the city. She is one of the few to have helped in conducting a blood transfusion for a tiger in an attempt to improve its health.
