Retired Major Anthony Jones Opens Up About His Battle Against Traumatic Brain Injury And Post Traumatic Stress Disorder In “BRAIN PAIN.”

LAS VEGAS, U.S.A. (November 10, 2016) - “BRAIN PAIN(http://majoranthonyjones.com/index.php/about/)- Fighting Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress” has hit the bookshelves but what will drive one to read this book is the captivating story of how Ret. Major Anthony E. Jones struggled with the painful effects of Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), the “Invisible Wounds of War,” inflicted on him on account of his time spent in OIF. Ret. Air Force Major Anthony Jones(http://majoranthonyjones.com/index.php/our-work/) is a third generation veteran who has served as a Special Operations Navigator/ Electronic Warfare Officer in Desert Storm as well as the Director of the MNC-I Personnel Recovery Coordination Cell during Iraqi Freedom. After his graduation from Quantico High School in Virginia, he earned a degree in Police Science from George Mason University and then moved on to graduate from flight school to join the 8th Special Operations Squadron. His career also includes Director of Training for CRI Counter Terrorism training as a civilian and Personnel Recovery Officer with the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency as a reservist.

Major Anthony “T-Dawg” (as he is fondly called) Jones, offers his raw and honest account of how he survived and is living with PTS and TBI in his book, “BRAIN PAIN”(http://majoranthonyjones.com/). These were the direct consequences of his injuries that were inflicted during his service in Iraq in 2007. The Wounded Warrior survived multiple concussions and explosions and has been dealing with emotional and physical scars such as cluster headaches, concussion, post concussion syndrome, depression and anxiety since being hit twice, receiving two Purple Hearts. His survival experience in spite of all these odds is expressed through this book. He also shares how his “management strategy” has helped him add purpose to his life. With a hope that others will benefit from his experience of battling it out with Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury, Major Anthony Jones has written and launched the book “BRAIN PAIN”.

The author is not the only one in his family with war injuries; his father, a Vietnam War Veteran, also survived multiple explosions but calls himself “defective” which Major Jones was not willing to be called. To overcome these “Invisible Wounds” he resorted to various therapies like Horse Therapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Botox, Exercise, Meditation, Acupuncture, Music therapy, Mountain Biking and Snowboarding- all of which have helped him gain enduring freedom from his pain and emotional bruises. This is a story not often actually written by the person who was actually “Blown Up.”
