The Granite Group Supports Local Students Looking to Compete in International Competition

Concord NH, March 28, 2013 — Thirty Manchester Memorial High School students have the opportunity to travel to Anaheim, CA to compete at next month’s International DECA Career Development Conference. DECA is a global association of high school marketing students and over twelve thousand of these students (from North America, China, Puerto Rico, and Guam) will be competing in various competitions at the conference.

In order to attend the International DECA Conference, these students need to raise the necessary funds. The cost, including airfare, hotel, registration and other expenses is around $1400 per student.

As part of it’s ongoing commitment to the communities they serve, The Granite Group is donating $400.00 to the Manchester Memorial High School’s fundraising efforts to attend the conference. Memorial student and DECA member Kristopher Schooner (the son of Karen Schooner, one the Granite Group’s Ultimate Bath Showroom sales associates), was presented with a check at a ceremony held on March 18th at The Granite Group’s corporate headquarters in Concord, NH.
