THE CLASSIC TALE OF TRUE LOVE AND FAIRYTALE MAGIC CINDERELLA ON DISNEY CHANNEL SATURDAY 

This weekend, a magical carriage awaits to take you into a delightful world where true love always shines with a happily ever after ending as Disney Channel brings you one of its greatest story — Cinderella. An animated musical that is loved by fans of all ages, this Academy Award nominated film will air exclusively on Disney channel, Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 11.00 am as part of the ‘Magical World of Disney’ special programming block. A mesmerizing and heart-warming tale about a beautiful and loving girl and the trials and tribulations that she faces as she waits for her one true love is an absolute must watch for kids and families everywhere as it teaches one to keep the faith and never give up hope.

 

 With unforgettable characters, a poignant soundtrack and a storyline that touches your heart, Cinderella received three Academy Awards nominations. Cinderella also won the Golden Berlin Bear Best Musical Award (Music Film)  and the Big Bronze Plate award. With tracks like “Cinderella”, “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo” and “So this Is Love”, the movie ensures a charming and musical journey.

 

This is the story of Cinderella, the much-loved only child of a widowed aristocrat who for the sake of his dearly beloved daughter marries a proud and confident woman with two daughters from her first marriage. Plain and socially awkward, these stepsisters are bitterly envious of the beautiful and charming Cinderella. After the death of Cinderella's father, Lady Tremaine and her daughters take over the estate, and begin to abuse and mistreat Cinderella out of jealousy. Despite being forced into servitude in her own home, Cinderella becomes a kind and gentle woman and befriends the animals living in the barn. Elsewhere, the king is worried that is his son, Prince Charming, does not want to get married. So he organizes a ball where he invites all the maidens so that his son could fall in love with one of them. Cinderella’s family goes to the ball leaving her alone at home. However, her fairy godmother appears and gives her a beautiful gown and carriage  just so she can attend  the ball. However, she warns her to leave before midnight as that is when the magic will end. At the ball, Prince Charming takes one look at Cinderella and instantly falls in love with her, spending the entire night with just her. When the clock suddenly strikes midnight, Cinderella leaves the prince and rushes home. In her haste, she leaves behind one of her glass slippers.

 

What ensues after is a kingdom wide hunt for the girl who the prince fellinlove with. The duke would be visiting each house with the glass slipper to find the girl who it fits. But what lies between Cinderella and her happily ever after is her evil stepmother. Does she allow Cinderella to try the slipper? Will Prince Charming find the love of his life? Does Cinderella get her happily ever after?
