Kanpur, May 3rd, 2014: The game of antakshari lies in the heart of most Indian celebrations and gatherings. Given the encouraging response received in Uttar Pradesh in 2013, Closeup along with content partner 92.7 BIG FM brought back Closeup Antakshari for its second season on radio. After rigorous rounds of auditions and short listing from the thousands of entries received, 12 of the best teams from 12 cities of UP, Bihar and Jharkhand took over the battlefield. After many weeks of cut-throat competition, catch the Grand Finale of Closeup Antakshari on 3rd May at 7pm only on 92.7 BIG FM!

The 3 teams - Deewane, Mastaane and Parwaane of Closeup Antakshari will be put to their final test this week. The finale will be conducted as a grand event at Sri Padampat Singhania Education Centre in Kamla Nagar, Kanpur where host Manoj Tiwari will not only help the three finalist teams through the final round but will also be seen grooving to the tunes of hit Bhojpuri songs like ‘Bagal Wali Jaan Mareli’, ‘Bholihai Suratiya’ and many more. Closeup will reward the winning team with a Hero Splendor and Hero Maestro, with the 1st and 2nd runner up teams receiving high end smartphones.

The debut season of ‘Closeup Antakshari’ in UP also recently won the RMAI Flame 2013 award for ‘Best Radio Campaign of the Year’. The ‘Closeup Antakshari Mix’ marked the beginning of the property, with an all-day roadblock across the above radio stations in UP, Bihar and Jharkhand wherein songs were being played all day in Antakshari format. The competition has been tough, with 12 teams from 12 different cities being selected through a rigorous process of audition, city finales and live on-air eliminations. The selection process had Manoj Tiwari select one team each from UP and Jharkhand; while Ratan Rajput chose the winner from Bihar.
