If you wear sunglasses all the time, like me, then you would recognize that sunglass brands make all the difference in the world. The basis that brands are so essential with regards to sunglasses is not for the bragging rights that come with it. Instead, the amount of Ultraviolet protection that the sunglasses can offer for your eyes differ from one brand to another. With so many models out there on the market, it is difficult to point which one is the absolute best. Here, I am going to list down a couple of brands which are my definite favourite and which are not so much. Before we go on any further, my preferred sunglass brands are Ray Ban, Oakley, Maui Jim and Persol. Brands that are not at the top of my favourite list are Prada, Versace, Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana.

The purpose that Ray Ban, Oakley, Maui Jim and Persol are at the best of my favourite list is because they focus on creating eye wear. All of them provide high UV defense for the eyes. Not that I am declaring that glasses created by Prada, Versace, Giorgio Armani and Dolce & Gabbana are with lower UV defense. I just do not truly fancy these sunglass models because their designs are leaning more towards fashion rather than functionality apart from being ridiculously costly at the same time.

As an undergraduate with a rather limited means, I mean, I mean on a scholarship, I do not have the extra cash to purchase sunglasses produced by either Prada, Versace, Giorgio Armani or Dolce & Gabbana. Having said that, it doesn't mean that I do not own any. The ones that I own are by Versace and Dolce & Gabbana. They were birthday presents from my family, okay? I do have a pair of these so called fashion glasses and my biggest trouble with them is the fact that they are so sensitive. Yes, the frame is constructed of metal and plastic but the feel of the framework differs than my Ray Ban types. They feel so fragile to the point that I would not put either my Prada or My Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses in my purse without their casing as they might break.

One other issue that I have with these so called fashion glasses is because they are not suitable to be used during active exercises. I am a passionate skate boarder and surfer. I would never put on my Prada or my Dolce & Gabbana while doing either exercises as again, because of their fragility, I worry that I might break them. But they do however appear extremely elegant and expensive when worn while sun tanning by the beach or while driving in the car. As fashion sunglasses are designed more for fashionable purposes rather than their performance, these sunglasses look really good when worn with a nice dress or a suit.

Now let's talk about sunglass brand names which are at the top of my preferred list. I absolutely love those by Ray Ban, Oakley, Maui Jim and Persol. I own sunglasses from all four brands and I appreciate each and every one of them. In comparison with the previous four brands, the sunglasses from these manufacturers are fairly inexpensive. A sunglass from either Ray Ban, Oakley, Maui Jim or Persol might charge you about 100 dollars a pair of but a sunglass from Prada, Versace, Giorgio Armani as well as Dolce & Gabbana is going to cost you around minimum 300 dollars. Check the difference in the prince range? As a student with a rather limited means, most definitely I will choose the less expensive ones.
