LEDs can help reduce CO2 emissions considerably, they contain no lead or mercury and do not emit any radiated heat (IR). LEDs have an extremely long life and this new solution lasts about 2-3 times longer than the traditional fluorescent-based street lighting products.

Philips Greenline Smart has been locally developed to address the need for replacing the higher capacity street lights in urban areas in India. It has features such as Ingress Protection IP65, which means it is water and dust resistant for life, and this luminaire can handle high voltage fluctuations ranging between 100-300V. The Greenline Smart luminaires have various applications such as use in secondary/residential roads, shopping & pedestrian areas, parks and gardens, industrial areas, parking areas and other open areas.
