(Free Press Release) Dubai-UAE: 26 March, 2011 - Construction machinery and equipment companies are preparing to exhibit their latest products and services at INTERMAT Middle East, which will be held from March 28 to 30, 2011, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC) centre in Abu Dhabi.
To be led by H.E Majed Ali Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Department of Municipal Affairs, the official opening ceremony will take place on 28 March, 10:00 a.m., at Hall 11 of the exhibition centre.
Well-known international names in the sector, such as Liebherr, Doosan, Doosan-Bobcat, Manitowoc, Sandvik, Hyundai, Sennebogen, Ammann, Leeboy, Bin-Brook, Shantui, CASE, Metso Minerals, Schwing Stetter, Manitou, NFT Cranes and Atlas Weyhausen, will feature in this premier showcase of the construction services industry.
The event takes place at a time when the region's construction industry is seeking to recover the momentum it lost in the global recession, from which the region has just emerged. According to recent articles by Tehran Times and Construction Week, Qatar is expected to invest an astounding US$170 billion into projects over the next 11 years and the UAE has future projects worth over US$45 billion. The consistent investment in construction in the Middle East demands companies to provide a variety of durable, state of the art machines and equipment to meet such figures.
Exhibiting companies have the opportunity to showcase a diversified range of products and services to construction professionals and companies at INTERMAT Middle East. Sandvik Middle East will showcase a variety of its equipment for rock drilling, rock excavation, processing, demolition and bulk-materials handling. Atlas Weyhausen will exhibit its multi-purpose AR 65 used in gardening and landscaping, agriculture, recycling and in the construction industry as well.
Jukka Naapuri of Sandvik Middle East said: "We believe that by participating in INTERMAT Middle East we can meet potential customers as well as assist our partners in generating more business opportunities. This will also give us a view of the current status of the Middle East market."
The Middle East prides itself in supporting green building to reach higher levels of sustainability in the region. Governments impose strict building codes and laws to ensure that construction companies build superior products.
Manitowoc, an exhibitor at INTERMAT Middle East, provides construction companies with the greenest lifting solutions with the Potain tower crane that runs on electricity. The self-erecting cranes built at its Italian factory are certified to ISO 14000 standards. In addition, the company's mobile cranes offer engines compliant with the very latest emissions legislations.
Doosan, a pioneer at producing diesel- and gasoline-powered machines and equipment, is tirelessly working to develop new methods that require less fossil fuel or run on alternative energy. The exhibitor's five stars strategies - consisting of hybrid power trains, "Intelligent" technologies, predictive design technologies, next-generation hydraulic system technologies, and wear-resistant materials - will all factor in to building a green Middle East.
In addition, Schwing Stetter, a world renowned leader in all matters concrete - from batching and mixing to transport and recycling residual concrete material - guarantees perfect use of concrete and environmental protection.
Maryvonne Lanoë, Exhibition Manager, said: "The Middle East is concerned about the effects construction will have on the environment. The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City recently announced that companies in the construction, infrastructure and concrete-mixing sectors will be penalized if their activities damaged the environment. INTERMAT Middle East will provide the platform for these exhibitors to meet with customers and to discuss and provide solutions for a large potential liability."
The Middle East region will continue to grow and global construction related companies with stellar performance records realize the significant opportunities that lie in the region. Shantui Construction Co. Ltd., one of the 500 largest enterprises in the construction industry in China, and Liebherr, known for producing cranes, excavators, wheel loaders and more that deliver the highest standards of efficiency, reliability and safety, will provide customers with the ultimate construction tools to build perfection.
The original INTERMAT exhibition takes place in Paris, France, every three years and has approximately 1,500 exhibitors participating from 48 countries to showcase cutting edge products and services in the construction industry. It welcomes 200,000 visitors out of which almost half are international delegates.
