Jalore, Rajasthan — June23, 2014 —The new Shri Vishnu Dashaavatar Temple in Jalore, Rajasthan, which was built to house ancient idols, was visited by lakhs of devotees across the five-day celebrations for the grand inauguration. The chief priest of the temple opened the portals of the shrine to the public amid vedic chanting and rituals throughout the Mahotsav. Lakhs of devotees from across the country gathered to witness the divine intervention. Expressing happiness over the first day turnout, His Royal Highness Maharaja DarbarSaheb of Sirohi, also the Chairperson of the Mahotsav said “The number of devotees at the Mahotsav was heart-warming and a manifestation of the good blessings of Lord Vishnu on the temple and his devotees. While wrapping up the five-day celebrations, Deepak Shah, Managing Director, Sumer Group, said, “It is a matter of rare and extreme honour and privilege to be chosen by Lord Vishnu to bring this temple to the people of the Hindu faith. The chance finding of the ancient idols, followed by unwavering support from HRH Maharaja DarbarSaheb of Sirohi, the leading spiritual minds in the country, and most importantly the local community in Bhinmal, has been very overwhelming. I believe this temple will bring happiness and good fortune to all.”
