Carter Overwhelms With More Than 20 Years Management Experience

Geismar, LA - December 09, 2014 The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company (NYSE:SMG), the world's leading marketer of branded consumer lawn and garden products, announced that Malcolm Carter has been named as the company’s Director/Plant Manager in their Geismar, Lousiana growing media division.

Carter brings more than 20 years of management experience, most recently as Operations Manager of Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) manufacturer, IPM, North America’s branch of Guarniflon SPA. Before that, Carter was a supervisor at Precision Press, where he Supervised up to 100 employees at printing company. Developed AIB training program and trained other supervisors.

Carter was Policy Council President for the East Baton Rouge Parish Headstart, and Carter is also a leadership trainer and author.

He is a graduate of the Grace King High School in Metairie, Louisiana and received his bachelors and Masters of Science degrees from Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
