The 4th Saudi Health Exhibition and Conferences, held under the support and patronage of the Saudi Ministry of Health, and jointly organized by Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions and Riyadh Exhibitions Company (REC), will take place from May 16 to 18, 2016, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Saudi Health exhibition and conferences will reveal the regional healthcare industry highlights such as the increase in the number of hospitals, the total healthcare investment in the Kingdom; in addition the event will feature the state of the art medical technology, and services. Saudi Health will also provide a platform for regional and international healthcare companies, dealers, suppliers, and service providers to deliberate growth initiatives aimed at enhancing Saudi Arabia’s health industry.

According to Alpen Capital, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s rising population’s (+2.9% CAGR, 2009-2014), life span, and prevalence of lifestyle-related diseases have caused an urgent growth in the demand for healthcare services. The government has transformed the sector with substantial investments over the last decade. Total healthcare expenditure in the Kingdom grew at a 9.8% CAGR from US$ 14.8 billion in 2008 to US$ 23.7 billion in 201316 (see Exhibit 17). Nearly 65% of the expenses were borne by the government. Funding by the private sector increased at a faster pace of 11.2% during the period.
The Saudi Health exhibition will feature more than 9000sqm of space, and is expected to host more than 16,500 delegates and visitors. The 2016 exhibition will include 12 country pavilions, over 550 exhibitors, and 42 exhibiting countries. The 2016 Saudi Health Conferences once again offer a CME-accredited conference programme that will further develop the skills of the healthcare workforce within the Kingdom.
The Saudi Health Conferences will feature some of the key healthcare topics relevant to the Saudi and regional healthcare industry such as, nursing, cardiology, obstetrics and gynaecology, diagnostic radiology, MEDLAB Saudi, rehabilitation, healthcare leadership, infection prevention and control, medical physics, public health, and more.
