Highett, Victoria — The Southern Animal Referral Centre has just completed major upgrade works to its 24 hour pet emergency facilities. The works mean pets in Melbourne’s Bayside will continue to have access to comprehensively equipped 24 hour veterinary emergency facilities through upcoming holiday season.
Many pet owners change their daily routines over the holiday season and increase their participation in social activities. Due to this the veterinary hospital sees a large range of seasonal and holiday pet emergencies ranging from injuries to serious dietary ailments. Extreme weather can also cause serious heat related pet emergency conditions which often occur on weekends or holidays and which often need 24 hour emergency care.
The upgraded emergency treatment room facilities will allow the centre to better treat the increased numbers of pets which experience emergencies at this time of year.
The 24 hour pet emergency department at the Southern Animal Referral Centre is the only 24 hour pet emergency facility in Melbourne’s Bayside.
