Chicago, USA; 10, September 2014: As a child growing up in Chicago, music was an integral part of Sarantos’ everyday life. His childhood consists of fond memories of listening to music in the car, and dancing with his parents while they recorded audio. After experiencing numerous personal challenges in his adult life including the death of his father after a hard-fought battle with lung cancer, Sarantos decided that it was time to take control and pursue his artistic dream. His style, which is often described as a blend of soft rock and 80’s pop, delivers a powerful message of positivity. His hope is for his music to play a role in changing the landscape of a struggling music industry.

Perhaps the only thing more impressive than Sarantos’ dedication to his craft is his commitment to his fans and desire to help others. Known for his willingness to play virtually any charity event free of charge, 33 percent of the proceeds generated from the sales of his new album will benefit numerous charities including the American Red Cross, Make-a-wish Foundation, American Heart Association, Chicago Medical School, and many more. Realizing that the current state of the music industry is a hesitance to buy physical copies of music, Sarantos connects with his fans via numerous social media sites on a daily basis.

Until the full release of his latest album, “Not Where I Want to Be”, on November 18th, Sarantos reveals a new song from the album on the first Tuesday of each month, followed by a new music video, personal video, and Whiteboard release on subsequent Tuesdays. He hopes that his unique approach to music will help to close the gap between artist and listener, creating a more intimate experience. In addition to the eleven well-crafted songs, “Not Where I Want to Be” will contain personal videos, interviews, and other interactive content.

So far, eight songs have been released on numerous online venues such as iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby and received widespread critical acclaim. In fact, Sarantos has been nominated for two categories for the upcoming international music & Entertainment Awards including Rock Song of the Year for his song “Nothing to Hide” and Pop Album of the Year. Since releasing the songs, Sarantos’ music has gained nearly one million plays on radio, and more than 1.4 million Twitter, Facebook, Google +, and Instagram followers.

Sarantos’ upcoming album is only a taste of what to expect from him in years to come. Armed with a catalogue of unique challenges, he has written more than 2,000 songs, which he hopes can uplift listeners and help him achieve his lifelong dream. Listeners can connect with Sarantos through his Facebook page (facebook.com/Sarantosmelogia), where they can listen to his four released tracks. Videos of Sarantos’ music can be found on his YouTube channel (youtube.com/user/SarantosMelogia), or viewed on his personal website http://www.melogia.com, a word which is derived from the Greek phrase meaning “with words”.
